1. Overview

EZpuptracker ("the App") is developed and maintained by Russell Worman ("I", "me", or "my"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it. The short version: your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. I do not collect, store, or have access to any of your data.

2. Information the App Stores

All information you enter is stored exclusively on your device and, if you choose to enable iCloud, in your personal Apple iCloud account. This includes:

Dog profiles: names, birth dates, breed, gender, size, and other details you enter
Health records: weight logs, feeding logs, medication records, exercise logs, and temperature readings
Veterinary information: vet contact details, appointments, and visit notes
Vaccination & medication records: vaccination history, deworming schedules, and active medication details
Photos: optional profile photos you choose to attach to each dog, stored locally on your device
Milestones & notes: developmental milestones, health notes, and any free-text notes you add

None of this information is transmitted to me or to any third-party server. I have no access to your data at any time.

3. iCloud Sync

The App uses Apple's NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore (iCloud Key-Value Storage) to optionally sync your data across your personal Apple devices. This sync occurs entirely within your own Apple iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy (apple.com/privacy). I do not operate any servers involved in this sync and have no access to data stored in your iCloud account.

iCloud sync is tied to your Apple ID. If you disable iCloud for EZpuptracker in iOS Settings, data remains only on the local device.

4. Device Permissions

The App requests the following iOS permissions. Each is optional and used solely for the feature described:

Notifications: Used to deliver feed reminders, medication reminders, milestone alerts, and next-feed alarms you configure within the App. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device using iOS UNUserNotificationCenter. No notification content is sent to any external server.
Photo Library (Read): Used only when you explicitly select a photo to attach as a dog profile picture via Apple's PhotosPicker. Selected photos are stored locally on your device. The App does not access, read, or upload any other photos from your library.
Calendar (EventKit): Used to add vet appointments to your iOS Calendar when you save them in the App. Calendar access is write-only for this purpose. The App does not read your existing calendar events.

You may revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security. Revoking a permission disables only the related feature; the rest of the App continues to function normally.

5. Data I Do Not Collect

EZpuptracker does not collect, transmit, or share any of the following:

Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number, device ID)
Location data
Usage analytics or crash reports sent to a developer server
Advertising identifiers (IDFA or similar)
Financial or payment information
Contact list data
Any data from your dog records or health logs

6. Third-Party Services and SDKs

The App does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, social media SDKs, or crash-reporting services. The only external service the App interacts with is your personal Apple iCloud account as described in Section 3.

7. Encryption and Security

The App does not implement custom encryption. Your data is protected by Apple's standard iOS data protection (hardware-level encryption tied to your device passcode) and by Apple's iCloud security infrastructure. The App's export compliance key ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption is set to NO, confirming that the App qualifies for the standard encryption exemption under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as the App is installed on your device or until you delete it within the App. Because I do not store your data on any server, I cannot delete it on your behalf. To remove your data:

Delete individual entries or dog profiles within the App.
Delete the App from your device to remove all locally stored data.
Disable iCloud sync in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > PupTracker to stop iCloud sync.
Contact Apple to manage data stored in your iCloud account.

9. Children's Privacy

EZpuptracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because the App does not collect any personal information from any user, no special provisions for children's data are required. The App is rated 4+ on the App Store.

10. Your Rights

Because I do not collect or store any of your personal data, there is no data held by me to access, correct, port, or delete. All data rights are exercised directly on your device or through your Apple ID settings. If you have questions about data held by Apple, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes materially, the updated version will be published on the App Store product page and reflected in the App's version notes. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
